Kaplan-Meier and Nelson-Aalen Estimators

  • The most common estimator of the survival function was introduced by Kaplan and Meier (1958)1. This estimator is referred to as the Product-Limit estimator.
  • Aabel also provides Nelson-Aalen estimator of survival function.
The Analysis Output

The analysis output can include:

  • Life table
  • Survival curves (to which can be added 95% pointwise confidence intervals)
  • Logrank significance test report
