Exploratory Data Analysis Capabilities

Unique and Powerful X-Zoom Tool

Data exploration in Aabel goes beyond data brushing. A unique tool called X-zoom (X for exclude) together with the application data pipeline design delivers a unique and powerful exploratory feature, designed for walking step-wise through a hierarchy of categorical or numeric data for:

  • Discovering patterns and information that are otherwise masked
  • Extracting data subsets interactively
  • The source worksheet stores the X-zoom state of the data objects, and if saved the Stats Analyzer and any chart pane using the source worksheet will by default honor the X-zoom state of the data objects.
Example of X-Zooming Into a Level of Factorial Data
  • X-zooming into the C1 factor level; this will extract data included in C1 at A1 B2 and C1 at A2B2 interactively.
